Summit Theme: Act Local. Think Global.
Our world is interconnected; how are you contributing to your corner of the globe?
We know ourselves and our communities best. This slogan urges people to consider the health of the entire planet and to take action in their own circles.
With act local, think global as this year's summit theme, participants will engage in robust leadership development rooted in community-based action and global understanding.

My favorite part of the Leadership Summit was ...
"I loved that we were able to express our feelings. Many people got to step outside of their comfort zones!"
"The panels were informing."
"The two workshops. They were really fun!"
"Networking and creating new meaningful relationships."
"The people were great! I can’t wait for next year!"
Summit Theme: Discovering your Why
Every person knows what they do. Some people know how they do it. Few people know why they do it.
Your why is your purpose. It is a cause or belief that inspires you and those around you.
Life gets a lot simpler when we stop to ask ourselves why we do things. When we build our lives around the things we love and continuously work towards discovering our true authentic self.
With Discovering Your Why as the conference theme, participants learned more about themselves as they further developed and defined their purpose and aspirations for life after high school.

Shiva Rajagopal is a Computer Engineer currently working at Fitbit in San Francisco. More importantly, however, Shiva hails from Fallon, Nevada, and still remembers all the words to the Greenwave fight song. He went from CCHS to Cornell University in upstate New York, where he proceeded to get his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Shiva became involved with a variety of groups in college, including a satellite team that launched a satellite in September 2013, and a group that taught basic coding to elementary schoolers. Shiva has spent his summers in various ways, including three summers at the National Youth Science Camp in West Virginia, one summer interning at Microsoft in Redmond, WA, and one summer interning at Tesla in Palo Alto, CA.
